Our Story
Six generations,
one valley in Uji.
Our matcha comes from a house in Isedacho, Uji, that has been growing and refining tea since 1861 — now in the hands of the sixth-generation master. For over a century and a half, one family has tended the same fields between the Uji and Kizu rivers, shading the leaves for the final twenty-one days of spring until they sweeten into deep emerald.
Their work has been honoured eleven times by Japan's Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries — a quiet record built one harvest at a time. Every order is stone-milled to order on slow granite wheels, and reaches your bowl within weeks of leaving the farm.
